Jimmy Roger (Jim) Moyers, age 79, of Farragut passed away Friday evening, July 20, 2018 at his home with the love of life by his side.
Jim was born in Jefferson City to Frank Moyers and Mildred Allen Moyers. He graduated from Jefferson City High School class of 1958 where he was a star football player. He was a veteran of the U S Air Force. Jim was a long time business owner of Grand Furniture. Jim was a loving husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Bryan Moyers; daughter, Pam Moyers; two brothers and a sister.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nancy Griffin Moyers; daughters and sons-in-law, Paige and David Gibson of Lenoir City, Jan and Chris Hensley of Chester Springs, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Ashley Thompson, Sarah Gibson, Griffin Hensley and Cali Hensley; great grandson, Andrew Moxham; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Mike Leftwich of Lebanon, Tennessee; several nieces and nephew.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday at the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel. A reception will follow in the Milestones Event Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org
