After a lifelong battle with Cleveland Sportsitis, Jimmy went home to the Lord where memories of the Curse of Colavito and The Drive could no longer trouble him. Born in Akron in 1950, Jimmy attended both Garfield and Ellet; graduating from Ellet in 1968. Jimmy served 20 years in the United States Air Force. After retiring, he moved back to Akron and worked for Sterling Jewelers for 23 years. Jimmy's love of Cleveland Sports, the USAF and Harley-Davidsons was only surpassed by his love for his family.
Jimmy was preceded in death by parents, James and Edna; and sister, Mary Yvonne (Cricket). He is survived by wife, Barbara; children, William and Rhyesa; brother, Charles (Debra); grandson, Nikolai; brother-in-law, Bob; and nephews and nieces, Andy, Angie, Ben, Bill, Dustin, Erica and Zach.
