Jimmy "Uncle Jim" Hutson passed away January 27,2022 at the age of 71 in Houston TX. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Jim came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.
Uncle Jim loved listening to Van Morrison and enjoyed sipping on wild turkey whiskey and studying horse racing forms. He was passionate about his politics and he was pro-life and he enjoyed making liberals cry.
Jim graduated from Littlefield High School, Class of 1968, and was a standout football player for the Wildcats. He was a guard, who was known for his toughness. You would run into him, and end up looking through your ear hole. He continued his education at South Plains College where he was on the Dean's Honors List. He went on to finish his education at Texas Tech University major accounting and business.
Jim's hobbies included horse racing and going to the track. He loved listening to music and watching music videos. He enjoyed posting on Facebook about politics and classic cars. He also enjoyed coin collecting.
Jim accepted Jesus Christ into his heart at an early age as his Lord and Savior, and he loved Jesus Christ and was a devoted Southern Baptist.
Jim worked for Pollard Friendly Ford while he was attending Tech and was one of their top salesman from day one. After graduation, he took a superintendent position for Jackson Shaw Development Co. in Dallas, Texas from 1979-1984. Jim supervised projects that were featured in Designers West Magazine. He opened his own construction company, Spectrum Acoustics Inc. in 1985, in Carrollton Texas, which he operated until 1991. He then started Hutson Sales Co. in 1991 with his old friend John Aduddell. Jim and John traveled all over the USA buying and selling surplus industrial equipment. He then joined forces with his brother Tommy, his good friend Billy Bear Aldridge and USA Auto Brokers in 2001. Jim was the general sales manager and worked with the sales department and purchased vehicles at auction. Jim loved cars and he loved helping customers. Jim was a kind and empathetic man who always thought of the other person before his self. He was loved and respected by anyone that ever met him. He treasured his family more than anything and he was everyone's favorite uncle. Everyone, including his doctors and nurses, called him "Uncle Jim". He liked to cook for the family and he was pretty darn good too, often using recipes passed down to him by his mother. Jim had a contagious personality with a warm smile and beautiful blue eyes, and he will forever be missed by his family.
Jim's special family included the Aduddell's and Aldridge's families. Billy Bear Aldridge was Jim's little brother and he loved Momma Joyce. Jim loved the Aduddell family, Lana was his sister and Randy, John, Kevin were his brothers, Jim and Nina were like his secondary parents and he also loved Clint, Ken, and Wade Overland like his own.
Jim was preceded in Heaven by his loving parents, Thelma Lee Hutson and Charley James Hutson and by his older dear sister, Frieda Hutson and older brother Nathan Hutson. Jim is survived by his brothers Rock, Larry, and Tommy; and many much loved nieces and nephews in-laws, and friends.
Services to celebrate the life Jim lead will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday February 10, 2022 at Grace Chapel in Littlefield with Clint Overland officiating.
