Davis-Struempf Funeral Home and Crematory
Jimmie Davis Rogers, age 93 of Austell died November 30, 2021. Jimmie was born in Piedmont, Alabama to Carl and Claudine Rogers and his family moved to Austell in 1930 when he was 2 years old. On March 24, 1946 he married Betty Jo Walker. He served faithfully as one of Jehovah's Witnesses for many years and was loved by all who knew him. He worked as a truck driver and retired from Carolina Freight Lines in 1994. He and Betty raised four sons in Mableton and Austell. He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years and is survived by his brother Ernest, his four sons Jimmie Jr. (Davie), Hugh (Randy), Mark and Russell and their wives, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service at a later time on Zoom internet meetings will be arranged. Arrangements are with Davis-Struempf Funeral Home, Austell.
