James William "Jim" Leone, 73, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 4, 2020, at his residence.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Salvatore Louis and Carolyn Mays Bethune Leone. He owned and operated Casa De Leone Coiffures, Inc., J.W. and Company and Jim Leone's Academy of Hair Design. Jim attended the South Main Chapel and Mercy Center.
He is survived by two sisters, Rosilyn Lett and husband, Tony and Louanne Burt and husband, Dwayne; several nieces and nephews, Nicholas Lett, Jonathan Lett, and Matthew Lett (fianc?e, Courtney Clark), MaryCarolyn Felix (Curt), and William Burt; great-niece and nephews, Kash Lett, Ryder Lett, and Evalyn Irvin; and his three fur babies.
In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Angela Vendlinski Lett.
Jim was past president of the National Cosmetology Association and he won numerous cosmetology awards. For many years he was Cosmetologist for the Miss South Carolina pageant where he traveled with many contestants as they competed for the Miss America crown. Jim also had a love for the theatre where he was a supporter both on and off the stage.
A celebration of life service will be held in the Spring of 2021. Time and date of the service will be announced at a later date.
