Jesus Ricardo "Chuy" Ramos received his orders for Heavenly duty on June 5th, 2022 at the age of 67. Jesus was born and raised in Laredo Texas. He graduated High School in 1973 and started his walk-in life by enlisting in the United States Army.
He became a Sergeant, Military Police Investigator, United States Army, CONUS and Overseas from 1973-1980. He returned to civilian life for a period of 2 years and started working for Homeland Security, Immigration and customs Enforcement (ICE) from 1982 to 2007 when he retired. Civilian life was never enough for Jesus he once again served his country through his commitment in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Embedded Sr. Law Enforcement Professional from 2008 -2010.
In 2011 Jesus went to work at AKA Heart to Home a 1915c waiver program that serves individuals with special needs and allows them to reside out in the community. He loved to meet people and was willing to help individuals in need.
Soon after he got his calling to continue his work Law Enforcement/Security work. This job took him to Belize/Guatemala from 9/2012 through 2014. After that he was a Police Instructor for The US Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement affairs in Mexico City. In 2018 he became the Security Coordinator for a Telecommunication Support Service monitoring a Ground Based Radar (GBR) in Hermosillo Sonora.
Jesus is proceeded in death by his parents Isabel Duran and Delfina G. Ramos, his Grand Parents Jesus and Olivia P. Gonzalez. He survived by his wife Yaneth Clavero Pezqueria, his sons Antonio Ricardo Ramos, John Damon Ramos, Phillip Michael Ramos, Step daughter Elizabeth Ramos, Siblings; Delfina (Alex) Amaya, Daniel (Julie) Ramos, Patricia (Sandy) Ramos-Smith, Juan (Priscilla)Ramos, 6 grandchildren, 15 nieces and nephews. Into your hands I commend my brothers spirit Lord.
Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at St. Mathews Catholic Church.
Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
