Jesse Dale TETLOW
July 27, 1940 - Feb 7, 2022
Dale Tetlow passed away peacefully on February 7th in Stanwood, Washington. Born in Keytesville, MO, he graduated from Keytesville High School as valedictorian (and Homecoming King) before attending Draughm's Business School. He became an accountant at Dart Trucking Co. before moving on to Kenworth of Kansas City. During this time, he met the love of his life, Barbara Rasnic, whom he married in 1965. They had two sons, Christopher Dale (1966) and Jason Duane (1969), before the family relocated to California, where Dale spent 6 years as the Credit Director at Peterbilt Truck Co. in Newark, CA. Dale was transferred again, this time to the PACCAR Corporate Headquarters in Bellevue, WA, in 1979 where eventually became Director of Credit International. He was a loyal employee and a respected boss. After retiring, Dale and Barbara moved to Stanwood, WA, a quiet, small town they grew to consider home. Dale was actively involved in the local Lions Club and food bank. He was also a proud member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.
Dale was the seventh of eight children and was preceded in death by Charles (Gerry), Ralph (Charlotte), Robert (), Tyson (Gwen), Billy and his sister Anna Brown (Gene). He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara; children Christopher and daughter-in-law Christine of Cheyenne, WY, Jason and daughter-in-law Elizabeth Grant of Bellingham, WA; grandchildren Justin Tetlow of Chandler, AZ, Keri Tetlow of Cheyenne, WY, Henry Grant-Tetlow of Bellingham, WA, William Grant-Tetlow of Bellingham, WA; sister-in-law Geraldine Tetlow of Raytown, MO, brother-in-law Gene Brown of Raytown, MO, sister-in-law Lillian Tetlow of Independence, MO, and brother John Haston of La Feria, TX, along with many nephews and nieces and his trusty dog, Bandit.
Throughout Dale's life, he was a friend, a brother, a husband, a father, a grandfather, and a volunteer and served all of these roles with equal enthusiasm. He will be greatly missed by many. There will be a memorial service at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church on February 25th at 1 p.m. Online remembrances may be placed at https://www.gilbertsonfh.com/obits.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that remembrances be made to The Parkinson's Foundation
