Jesse Ossont Hoffert, 37, of Big Moose, unexpectedly passed away on December 8, at her home. She was born December 26, 1983, in Rome, the daughter of Jeffery and Veronica Ossont, of Big Moose. Jesse is a graduate of the Town of Webb Union Free School, after graduation she worked as a cosmetologist.
Jesse was very determined after the birth of her first child, she set many goals for herself and worked very hard in the medical field, as a CNA. After the birth of her second child, Jesse attended night school to become a registered nurse. She was currently employed as a New York State Correctional Officer, at Marcy Correctional Facility. She never let a moment pass her by without doing something meaningful, with her children; like traveling, camping in the yard, time spent at the lake, bon fires, four wheeling, and anything family oriented. She left no stone unturned and we believe she lived life with no regrets. Jesse was blessed to have her brother Jason as a best friend and confidante.
Jesse is survived by her two beautiful children, Adrienne, and Triton; also left to mourn her passing are her mother, Vicki; brother, Jason; grandmother, Dorothy Britton; aunts and uncles, Robert and Sherry Ossont, Kathy Ossont, Guy and Nancy, David and Charlene Ossont, Dennis Ossont, Joy and Steven Mientkiewicz, Steven and Laura, John and Kathy Jo Britton, Kimberly and Daniel Charchian; as well as several close cousins whom she adored; the father of her children, Lance; and Bonnie and Deen Keefer; as well several members of the Hoffert family. Jesse had many close friends, some of which eventually became family to her. Too many to name as she was an easy person to love.
Jesse was predeceased by her father, Jeffery "Foot" and it was no secret that she was a daddy's girl; her grandparents, Robert and Jean Ossont, maternal grandpa, John Britton; uncle Thomas Ossont; and aunt Charlene Ossont. She is now reunited with her "number one everything" Adrienne Williams, a big void she could never fill.
Our family would like to extend our gratitude to the local police agencies and fire departments. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to your favorite cause, or pass on a random act of kindness to honor Jesse. We invite all to join us for a celebration of life January 15, 2022, at the Old Forge Fire Department from 1 - 3 PM.
