Jerry White, 55, of Crothersville, IN, passed away at 1:48 AM on Thursday, October 29, 2020, at his home. Jerry was born on Wednesday, August 18, 1965, in Scottsburg, IN. He was the son of James B. and Bertha (Deaton) White of Austin, IN. He was a 1983 Austin High School graduate. Jerry was working as a Machinist and a CNC Machine Operator at Master Power Transmission in Columbus, IN. On October 12, 2019, he married Vickie Smith White after dating for over 11 years. Jerry collected knives and was crazy about different types of flashlights, He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing softball, being outdoors, loved telling stories, and spending time with his family. Everyone who knew him knows a "Jerry Story". Jerry was a sweet man and of Christian faith who had God in his heart. He remained positive and was an inspiration to others before and during his glioblastoma diagnosis (June 2019) and treatments. He was a fighter who never wanted to give up and fought until the very end. Survivors include his parents, wife, Vicki Smith White of Crothersville, IN, 1 daughter, Jennifer (Chris) Walker of Seymour, IN, 1 stepdaughter, Brandi Lanning of Indianapolis, IN, 1 brother, James (Heather) White of Austin, IN. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 110 E. Howard St., Crothersville, IN 47229, with burial to follow at Crothersville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 2, 2020, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and after 9:00 AM on Tuesday. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry & Georgia Deaton and George & Edna White. Please follow the CDC's recommendations and guidelines while attending visitations and the funeral service. Face masks are required per state mandates.
