Jerry Lee Litton

Born March 23, 1939 Kingsport, TN. Died Nov. 11, 2024, Maryville, TN.

Memorial Service Sat. Nov. 16, at 1:00 pm, St. John United Methodist Church, Maryville, TN.

Survived by children Jeffery (Sandy) Litton, Jennifer (Danny) Myers, Gretchen (Paul) Darling, and Rebekka (Paul) Longmire; Sisters Mary (Ed) Wirth and Kaye Welter; 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Betty Barker Litton and grandson, Sam Darling.

Jerry was a perpetual optimist, blooming wherever he was planted, with a great sense of humor who never met a stranger. He was the inaugural coach of Farragut High School women's soccer and Maryville College's women's soccer program, a long-time member of Rotary International, and a life long Methodist. He was a graduate of East Tennessee State University. Jerry and the love of his life, Betty graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School.
