Jerry Harwell, age 77, of Cartersville, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023 at his residence.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Crosswalk Nazarene Church with Pastor Charlie Gilliland officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He enjoyed hiking, working in his yard and enjoying a cup of coffee with BJ and with the men at the church. Most of all Jerry loved his family and taking care of them.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ronda Hankins and his parents, Sylvester and Lucille Harwell. Jerry is survived by his wife of 46 years, Doris Harwell; son, Tracey Harwell (Lisa); 4 grandchildren, Chris Harwell (Montana), Kristin Harwell, Kassie Hankins and Andrew Hankins; several great-grandchildren; sister, Renee Vincent; brother, Bobby Harwell; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
