Jerry Bidle, 74, of Myersville, MD died peacefully of natural causes on July 25, 2024. He was born on December 2, 1949 and was the son of the late Walter S. Jr., and Grace Flook Bidle.
Jerry was a graduate of Middletown High School where he was an avid athlete. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. and proudly served his country in the Vietnam War. He had a great love of Country and the Marines. Upon his return and honorable discharge, he began his longtime career with his brother's company, Bidle Brothers, Inc. He was an accomplished site supervisor and equipment operator. He was a member of the Big Oak Club, Amvets Post #9, American Legion Post #10 and South Mountain Rod and Gun Club.
Jerry was an incredible son, brother, uncle and friend to many. He was so devoted to his mother throughout his life and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone he met.
He is survived by two sisters, Cheryl March (Dennis) and JoAnn Sefsic; three brothers, Drexel Bidle, Arthur Bidle (Sharan), and L. Thomas Bidle; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by brothers, Walter S. Bidle III, Grayson Bidle, Ronald Bidle, Bernard Bidle and Anthony Bidle; sisters, Gloria Ritchie, Katherine Fogle and Grace Bowlus.
Relatives and friends will be received at Thompson Harman Funeral Home, 31 E. Main Street, Middletown on Monday, July 29, 2024 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 am in Zion Lutheran Church, 107 W. Main Street, Middletown at which time a funeral service will be held. Interment to immediately follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
