Jerry J. Bacon, 69, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at his home in Garden City, Georgia. Jerry was born in Savannah on November 7, 1951 to James L. Bacon and Lois (Clark) Bacon and they predeceased Jerry.
Jerry is survived by his wife and soulmate Dottie Smith Bacon to whom he was married for 47 years. He is also survived by his son, Jared Bacon and daughter, Kyrie Clark, his brother Eddie (Stefanie) Smith, sister, Sheila (Earl) McGinley and sister, Janet (Cecil) Harvey. Jerry leaves loving memories to his eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild as well as several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Jerry also leaves precious memories to special family members: Libby & Chris White, Joshua & Michelle Cole, Ashley & Bryan Riner and Trey Garland.
Jerry served in the United States Coast Guard. He was a member of the Port Wentworth 5-A Marine Rescue Squadron for 13 years. Jerry worked in the propane gas business for 40-plus years. He was an avid and dedicated fisherman.
A Celebration of Jerry's Life will be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society in memory of Jerry J. Bacon.
