Jerome R. Dolsky, 79, Topeka, Kansas, loved to travel and on Saturday, February 20, 2021, he reached his final destination, Heaven.
Jerome was born September 6, 1941, in Leroy, Kansas, to Charles and Erma Malek Dolsky. He graduated from Burlington High School in 1959, earned his bachelor's degree from Emporia State University and his master's degree from Kansas State University. On May 26, 1962, Jerome and Dorothy Criqui were united in marriage, enjoying more than 58 years together.
Jerome was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Church where he was a long-time lector and Eucharistic minister, and the Knights of Columbus, Council No. 4254. Jerome taught business classes for 41 years retiring from USD 335, Jackson Heights High School, in 2004.
Jerome enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a devoted husband, father and teacher. He was dearly loved and his physical presence will be greatly missed.
Survivors include, his beloved wife, Dorothy; children, Mark Dolsky (Juanita) and LeAnn McGranahan (Don); four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; brother Roderick Dolsky; sister, Camille Lenhert; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Church followed by Mass of Resurrection at 10 a.m. at the Church. Due to the pandemic, masks and social distancing are required. Jerome's Mass will be live streamed on the funeral home Facebook page.
Cremation will follow with private inurnment in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
