Jennie Rebecca Barnes, 42, died Thursday, July 30, 2020, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence.
Rebecca was born February 2, 1978, in Georgetown, SC, a daughter of Donald Wayne Barnes and Jennie Williamson Holt. She was a graduate of Williamsburg Academy and Winthrop University. Rebecca was a Nursing Assistant and worked at Wellmore Assisted Living and for Magnolia Home Health. She was close to earning her black belt in karate and attended the Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors are: her mother, Jennie W. Holt, of Andrews; her father, Donald W. Barnes, of Warner Robins, GA; a sister, Beth (Dan) Dynan, of Florence; two nieces, Savannah and McKenna Dynan, of Florence; and a half sister, Morgan Barnes, of Warner Robbins, GA.
A graveside funeral service will be 5:30 PM Saturday, August 8, 2020, in Andrews Memorial Cemetery. Due to Covid -19, all safety precautions will be taken so please socially distance and wear a mask. The register book will also be at the funeral home if you wish to stop by and sign during business hours. Memorials may be made to Trio United Methodist Church, 39 Front Street, Salters, SC 29590.
