Jeffrey N. Moore, MD, died on June 28, 2021, in Brandon, FL. He was born on November 7, 1958, in Paragould, AR. Jeff is survived by his children, Katie Kay (Alex), and Grant Moore of Wisconsin; his sister, Sandy Moore, of Little Rock, AR; his nieces Indigo Anderson-Moore, of Little Rock, AR, and Shanna Haney, of Cabot, AR; his nephew Josh Moore (Erin), of Las Vegas, NV and great-nieces Emily Patricia and Elizabeth; and SO many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rex and Jane Moore; his sister, Patricia Moore Haney; and his brother, Dave Moore, all of Jacksonville, AR.
Jeff was a talented singer, fantastic pianist, and was also proficient in ASL. He had a wicked sense of humor and loved the outdoors, especially the extremely remote corners of the earth. His passions were his children, music, theatre, and physical fitness; his academic achievements were many.
At the time of his death, Jeff worked as the Medical Director of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital North Tampa, in Tampa, FL. His diverse work experience included serving in the Peace Corps in Jamaica in the early 1980s and earning his AuD from Gallaudet University, but the primary focus of his life's work as a physiatrist was in the specialty field of physical medicine and rehabilitation.
A celebration of Jeff's life will be held on what would have been his 63rd birthday at 2:00 pm, November 7, at John Chesnut Sr. Park, Tarpon Springs, FL.
