Jeffrey Alan Kaffee passed away on July 16 at the age of 81 after a short battle with brain cancer.
He was born on June 27, 1941 in Brooklyn NY and was a long time resident of Mt. Vernon, NY, Wayne, NJ, and Parsippany, NJ before moving to Sun City, SC in 2016.
Jeff was married to Flossie for nearly 58 years and they have a son, Jason. Jeff served 20 years in the US Air Force and Air Force Reserves. He fought in Vietnam as a KC 135 pilot. Following his military career, Jeff became a pilot for Eastern Airlines, US Airways and retired as a Captain from American Airlines.
After retirement from the airlines, Jeff worked with his wife as a realtor for Caldwell Banker for 30 years and were known as “Spouses Selling Houses.”
Funeral services will be held at Sauls Funeral Home in Bluffton on Wednesday, July 20 at 11:00 am with burial at 1:00 pm at Beaufort National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm—4:00 pm, Thursday at the Kaffee residence and Wednesday evening, a visitation and Shiva will be held from 6:30pm—8:30pm with Open House until 9:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hadassah Hospital, Temple Oseh Shalom or Mickve Israel.
