Jeffery Lynn McCraw, age 58, unexpectedly went to be home with the Lord on February 9, 2022 in Forest City, NC. He was born in Gaffney, SC on July 30, 1963. Jeffery was the beloved husband of Pam Francis McCraw, married for 34 wonderful years. He was the best father in the world to two kids - Garrett and Mackenzie, and father-in-law to Zac.
Jeffery was born in Gaffney, SC, where he grew up in a loving home with parents Linda and DeWitt McCraw and his three siblings D.D., Paige, and John. He moved to Forest City when he married Pam Francis, and they built their life surrounded by family, and grounded by faith. Jeffery attended church with his wife at Adaville Baptist Church, where he spent time as a deacon and helping with the youth group. Out of high school, he worked at Sanders Brothers Construction. He then worked at General Electric in Greenville for over 25 years, as an assembler, and loved his job and his coworkers. Jeffery worked hard always, never complained, and was always the first one to jump in and help with a smile on his face.
In his spare time, Jeffery spent time with family and always had a project going on around the house or in the yard, supervised by a loving dog. He could fix anything, as long as he had enough time, and loved tinkering on his old Jeep. He loved being outside, particularly at the beach. Jeffery will be greatly missed by his family.
He is survived by his wife Pam; children: Garrett, Mackenzie and Zac; his parents Linda and DeWitt; his siblings: D.D. and Teri McCraw, Paige and Julian Wright, John and Heather McCraw; his in-laws Larry and Doris Francis, Tami and Raymond Pesaturo, and Chris and Jill Francis; and many treasured nieces, nephews, and their children. He was preceded in death by his grandparents IA and Kathleen McCraw and J Eb and Ailene Jefferies.
The funeral service was held at two o'clock Saturday, February 12, 2022 in the Adaville Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Pate and Rev. Chad Dillard officiating. The family received friends following the service. Interment was private for the immediate family at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
