Jeffery Lane Martin, 55, passed away unexpectedly on April 4th, 2022, in his home in South Bend. Jeff was the proud father of his daughter, Kayla Martin, who survives him along with his mother, Velma Good; brothers, Rodney (Lisa) Martin and John (Jennifer) Good; sisters, Char (Roger) Pecina, Chris Corrales, Gale Wherl, Sherry Kurzhal and Lois Albright; many nieces and nephews; as well as dear friends in the Ryder family and many others he made along the way. He was preceded in death by his father Wellington Good.
Jeff enjoyed NASCAR, was a long time Michigan fan, love4d rock music and spending time on the boat or with his dog, Princess. Though he was born in Louisiana, Jeff spent his formative years in the Michiana area as well as living in Nevada and Virginia. He was a jack-of-all-trades who never met a puzzle he couldn't solve with his hands.
In his later years, Jeff became a major supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project and started his own business. Jeff never went anywhere that he didn't make a friend, and he never hesitated to help if one of them was in need. He had an infectious laugh and smile that he shared often.
Jeff will be buried next to his father at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in South Bend. A graveside service and memorial will be held for friends and family on a date forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, his daughter asks all donations be sent to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention,
She invites his loved ones to attend the AFSP'S charity event, The Out of Darkness Community Walk of Indianapolis on September 10th, 2022, in his memory.
The HANLEY and Sons Funeral Home handled arrangements and extends its deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to all of Jeff's family and friends.
