Jeanne Marie Risley

Jeanne Marie Risley, beloved mother and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in

Gainesville, Georgia, on September 10, 2025, at 4:45 a.m. She was 60 years old.

Born on April 13, 1965, at North Adams Regional Hospital in Massachusetts, Jeanne lived a life

marked by love, laughter, and deep connections. She was the cherished mother of Nick and

Colin, wife to Scott Risley, who were the pride and joy of her life. She also leaves her beloved

mother Sandra Goddard of Pownal, VT. She adored her dogs Bella and Ava, as much as they

adored her.

Jeanne was proud to be the first in her family to graduate from college. She started her career

at GE Plastics, and following a move to Georgia, worked for IntelliTrans for many years. Her

most recent role was as a Logistics Manager for ?i?ecam, where her hard work, leadership, and

compassion for her colleagues left a lasting impression. Outside of her professional life, she

found joy in swimming and walking the beach with her closest friends?moments that reflected

her love for nature and meaningful companionship. She had a competitive streak and loved

board games and games of chance. She also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including her

favorite television shows: Big Brother, Wheel of Fortune, The Price is Right, and Jeopardy.

Jeanne had an unmatched ability to connect with others?her outgoing personality and warmth

made it easy for her to form friendships wherever she went. She will be remembered for her

vibrant spirit, her kindness, infectious laugh, and the way she lit up every room she entered.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of her children, her family, her friends, and all those

fortunate enough to have known her.
