Jeanine 'Jeanie' Ann Inwood, 75, of Milton, WI passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024, at her home after a courageous 7-year battle of pancreatic cancer. Jeanie was born on January 3, 1949, in Racine, WI to the late Everett and Dorothy (Weis) Daniels.
At 3 years old, Jeanie attended St. John's School for the Deaf in St. Francis, WI where she made many lifelong friends. She then attended Central High School in Salem, WI and graduated in 1968. Jeanie also attended Gallaudet University in Washington, DC where she would meet the love of her life, James Howard Inwood, and then marry on August 6, 1971, at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Brighton, WI.
Jeanie worked as a Sign Language instructor for 41 years alongside Jim at various area Technical Colleges, including Blackhawk Technical College and MATC. She was also a dedicated housewife who loved cooking, crafting, sewing, watching game shows and movies, and spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Jeanie is survived by her 3 children, Jacqueline Inwood, Jeffrey Inwood, Jay (Ashley Thompson) Inwood; 4 grandchildren: River, Rowan and Ryker Inwood, Cooper Inwood; 3 sisters: Anita Christensen, Cathy Daniels (Ed Brzinski), Ann (Steph) Abel; 2 brothers: Joe Daniels, Myron (Doreen) Daniels; two sisters-in-law: Mary Ann Cisne, Nancy (Jeremy) Street; and many, many nieces, nephews, and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, bother Gary Daniels, husband Jim Inwood, sister Ellen Daniels and brother-in-law Max Cisne.
Funeral prayer services will be held at 1:00 pm at the Albrecht Funeral Homes & Cremation Services in Milton, WI on Saturday, September 7th. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the start of the services, with Fr. Pat Wendler officiating. A Sign Language interpreter will be present for the visitation and services.
