Jeanette R. Foley, 85 of Rockland passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022 at home surrounded by her family.
Jeanette was the loving wife of the late Martin J Foley Jr. and the daughter of the late Nellie (Helen) and Paul Chevrette.
She was born and raised in South Boston. In 1972, Jeanette and Marty settled in Rockland to raise their growing family. Jeanette was a community activist, a member of the Holy Family Mothers Club, a CCD teacher, she worked in the corporate office of Stop and Shop, at the Rockland Town Hall and in the Rockland School system. Jeanette was an eloquent writer, lending her talent to the Village Voice as an active member of the Leisure Woods community. Jeanette enjoyed her time bowling at Timber Lanes and as a member of the Red Hat Society. Jeanette loved spending time at Humarock beach with her family and friends.
Jeanette was a loving and devoted mother to Maureen C. Foley of Marshfield, Martin J Foley III of Rockland, Kathleen Foley of Rockland, Brenda Kimball and SIL Steve of Whitman, and Patrick Foley of Marshfield. Cherished grandmother of Joshua, Jenna and Jason Kimball of Whitman and Finn Foley of Marshfield. Loving sister of Richard Chevrette of Rockland and the late Paul Chevrette. Jeanette is survived by many nieces and nephews and her great-grand dog Max.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 3rd from 4:00PM-7:00PM at the Sullivan Funeral Home, 45 E. Water Street, Rockland. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 4th at 9:00AM at Holy Family Church, 403 Union Street, Rockland. Burial will immediately follow at Holy Family Cemetery, 92 Centre Ave, Rockland.
