Ruth Jean Sanders known affectionately by her friends and family as Gramma, Momma Jean, Aunt Jean and Jean was welcomed into heaven, on August 21, 2022. Jean was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia. She was very proud to be the daughter of Hollis Wayne and Ruby Ruth Kemper. Jean lived a very full life. She loved her family. Enjoyed travel. Volunteered with her sorority sisters (Alpha Epsilon Alpha)
), in a variety of settings. Loved to bowl in tournaments. Enjoyed trips to Las Vegas to play Blackjack and Three Card Poker. She really enjoyed meeting other players and interacting with the dealers. Sometimes she would win, and sometimes lose. But, no matter the outcome she always had a broad smile on her face. Jean found peace and joy when she and Joe would spend time in the cool mountains of Ruidoso, and Alto. Spending summers there were a delight for her.Jean loved to cook. No-one ever went hungry when she prepared a meal.
Jean is survived by her loving daughter, Mary Ann Liverman, and her husband Todd. Loved by Laura Bousquet and her husband Ray, as well as Arnie Riffe and his wife Myrtle. She will be missed by grandchildren A J Morrow, Travis Harris, Todd Riffe, Michelle Riffe, Mick Prendergast, Mark Prendergast, Catherine Miller, Tina Prendergast, and many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She will be reunited in heaven with her husband Joe, her parents, her sister Delores, and brother-in-law Frank.
There will be a private inurnment, at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park, on September 24, 2022, at 2:00 pm. A Celebration of Jean's Life will follow at her daughter's home.
