Jean Ann Pratt, age 96, passed away on October 29, 2022, while under the care of Cornerstone Hospice at Chatham Glen Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. She grew up in Miami and was very proud of her Florida heritage. After a career as a military wife of a United States Marine, and with a few memorable stops along the way, she and her husband settled in The Villages in 1989. A member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Fruitland Park, she enjoyed her days as a member of a song and dance troupe who brought laughter and cheer to various retirement centers in the local area. She was given special recognition for her volunteer services at the Leesburg Nursing Center and the Sterling House of Leesburg. Being qualified to begin service in 2001 as a Stephen Minister also brought her much joy. She is predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Nathaniel A. Pratt, Jr. and survived by daughters Christina Hall (Christopher) of Albuquerque, Celestia Pratt of Colorado Springs, and son Nathan Pratt of Lady Lake, FL, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. National Cremation Society handled the arrangements, and inurnment was held at the church cemetery on December 28, 2022, in a small, private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any local food bank or to the Salvation Army of Leesburg.
