On Tuesday April 20, 2021, Jean W. Farrant of St Simons Island, GA, entered into eternal rest at the age of 86.
Jean was born in Belfry, KY to Molly and Roscoe Williamson. After graduating from Belfry High School and Mayo Secretarial School, she moved to Grand Rapids, MI. She went to work at Lear Siegler where she met her husband of 43 years, Don W. Farrant, Jr. They both ended up working for Amway for many years. They spent their retirement in St. Simons Island, GA, which they loved. Jean was also a hospital volunteer not only in Grand Rapids, but also at Brunswick campus of Southeast Georgia Health System for 31 years. She held many positions and was an auxiliary board president and dedicated pink lady. She looked forward to sitting at the front desk every Monday morning. She was a member of SSI Presbyterian church and had numerous friends.
Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Don Farrant; her Mother, Molly Meeks Williamson; her father, Roscoe Williamson; and her brother, Harold Williamson. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Deb Farrant; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Bob Batts; also four grandchildren, Noah (Jess), Tyler (Liz), Tommy (Elise), and Michelle; one great grandchild, Mia. Several nieces and a nephew also survive.
A small private family service to celebrate Jean's life will be held later this year in Michigan.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles.
