Jean Merle (Hammons) Davidson, born March 14, 1930, to Laura (Earls) & Roy Hammons in Northwestern Pulaski County, AR.
She went home to be with her Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 3, 2021. Jean was preceded in death by her dear husband, G.A. Davidson, with whom she enjoyed a long & happy marriage; her precious granddaughter, Laura Mae Davidson; her parents; sisters, Lillian Stancil, Lois McGowan & Thelma Holden; brothers, Leonard Hammons, Roland Hammons & Dallas Hammons.
Left to cherish her memory are her children & spouses, Allen Davidson (Martha), Patricia Sarver (Gerry) & John Davidson (David Burke); her wonderful grandchildren, Matthew Davidson, Caroline Martin (Nick) & Will Sarver (Jessica). Jean is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews & friends.
Her most important things in life were her church, dear family & friends. Jean always said she was lucky in life, she got to do what she wanted to do most: to be a wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker & friend. "Her cup runneth over." "Surely goodness & mercy shall follow me all the days of my life & I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
As the family moved many times during her husband's career - the most important things to consider were her church, her husband & her children. Jean devoted many hours to the church, the children's schools & community activities. She was a Sunday school teacher, vacation bible school leader, room mother, Boy Scout leader for her boys & Camp Fire leader for her daughter. Jean loved cooking for her family & working in her garden.
