Norma was married to Roy Max Winton and to this union three children were born, Larry Max Winton, Stephen Allen Winton, and Jeanne Beth Winton. The family moved to Lubbock, Texas in 1950. She began using the name, Jean, when she moved to Lubbock. She began working in the women's shoe business in 1957. Playing card on Fridays with her group of ladies was a time for laughter and fun, but most of all she loved her family and extended family. She wrote a book for all of them about her life and their family history.
