Javier L. Villarreal, 58 of Raymondville, Texas, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

He was born on February 19, 1967 in Raymondville, Texas, son of Raymundo and Aurora (Longoria) Villarreal. Javier is preceded in death by his father, Raymundo.

Javier will be remembered for his deep love of the outdoors. Whether casting a line or spending time hunting, he was most at peace surrounded by open skies, water, and land. Fishing and hunting were more than hobbies to Javier?they were traditions he cherished. His unwavering passion for the outdoors will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Aurora Villarreal; brother, Jaime (Sue Ann) Villarreal; sister, Melinda Chapa, nieces and nephews, Karina Villarreal, Jaime "JJ" Villarreal, Kayla Chapa, and Bryan Chapa.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, 10:00 am - 9:00 pm at Duddlesten Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 693 N. 3rd, Raymondville Texas on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Raymondville Memorial Cemetery, Raymondville Texas.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Agustin Lopez, Oscar Ramirez, Ricky Espinoza, JJ Villarreal, Ruben Zamora, Rene Ortiz, Paul Anders and Marty Longoria.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Duddlesten Funeral Home, 604 West Hidalgo Ave., Raymondville, Texas.
