Jasper Dean Duncan was born August 31, 1945, to Huell and Nelvagene Duncan in Durant, Oklahoma. He graduated from Cobb High School. After he was drafted into the Navy, he served for two years. He then lived in Mesquite, Texas, and began working at Texas Power & Light. He continued working there, through numerous company name changes, with a group of people that became his second family for 49 years. On August 14, 1971, he married Paula Jean Bowen, and they were married for 47 years. They had two children Melissa and Jeremy, then welcomed daughter-in-law Carrie into the family. There was great joy when his grandchildren, Aubrie, Cooper, and Bowen were born and called him Pop. The real excitement began when they started in sports. He spent every Saturday watching Aubrie cheer or play volleyball, Cooper play football, and Bowen play soccer. He spent many, many years deer hunting and fishing.
Jasper passed away on March 2, 2019, with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Clay.
