Jason Paul Stehling, 53, of Lubbock, passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021. He was born March 9, 1968 in Fredericksburg, Texas to Ted and Sharon (West) Stehling. He attended St. Mary's Catholic School and Fredericksburg High School before graduating from Texas Tech University in 1993 with his Bachelors Degree in Animal Production. Jason married Rachael Fleming on September 9, 1995 at St Mary's Church in Fredericksburg.
Jason was employed in sales of fiber optic network systems for most of his adult life. Most recently he worked for Texas Long Star Network. He was greatly involved with family, particularly his children. He loved golfing, fishing, canoeing, floating on the river and vacationing to St. Thomas. Jason enjoyed spending time on his family's ranch in Fredericksburg where he grew up, riding dirt bikes with his son, and going to ACL with his daughter. He was a member of Lakeridge United Methodist Church.
Jason is survived by his wife, Rachael; daughter, Piper and son Blake; parents, Ted and Sharon Stehling of Fredericksburg; brother, Jeff Stehling and wife Sheren of Fredericksburg; and sister, Becky Vitali and husband Jim of Loveland, Ohio. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law, Stephanie Ashburn and husband Brad of Ft. Worth and in-laws, Robert and Betty Fleming of Lubbock.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Lakeridge United Methodist Church, 4701 82nd Street. Private interment of the cremains will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice of Lubbock, 3702 21st St, Lubbock, Texas 79410, St. Mary's School Endowment Fund, 202 S. Orange St., Fredericksburg, Texas 78624, or a charity of your choice.
