Jared Eric Edwinson, 38, died at his home on November 10, 2024 after a long journey with a history of health issues, in which he displayed courage, strength and encouragement. He was born on March 12, 1986 in Portland, Maine, the son of John Edward Edwinson and Donna Marie (Phelan) Edwinson.
Jared weighed in at a whopping 910 grams (2 pounds 1/2 ounce) and was the first patient at the Maine Medical Center NICU unit. The nurses referred to him as the pioneer.
Jared's hometown will always be Danville NH, and he also lived, laughed and loved at Homecroft in Newmarket NH for 18 years. This home provided Jared and his roommates with their needs in a loving, joyful way each and every day.
Jared enjoyed listening to and singing every genre of music there is, yummy food, traveling in the van to cool places with his Homecroft family, bouncing his green ball, cookies, candy and popcorn, hanging with his brother, and praying with you. Growing up in church, he would often decide when and where the Lord's prayer should be in the service, and everyone agreed.
In addition to his parents of Brentwood, NH, he is survived by his brother John E. Edwinson II of Exeter, NH; his sister Jesslyn Cabral and her husband Nathan of Brentwood, NH; two nieces Kamryn and Hazel Cabral; and his nephew Hunter J. E. Cabral: his Homecroft family including Vila Ricker - his great love.
