Janice Audrey Sloan of Loveland CO, passed away peacefully with her son James by her side on October 25, 2017. Jan was born on April 15, 1944, in Minot, North Dakota, to Benjamin and Audrey Sloan (McDaniel). She was raised in Velva and graduated from Velva High School in 1962.
Jan married Ralph Miller Sr. on November 7, 1962, in Karlsruhe, North Dakota, and together they had three children: daughter Roxann, and sons Stacy, and Ralph Jr. The family moved to Michigan for a short time, returning to North Dakota in 1970.
On November 16, 1978, Janice married Bill Roberts in Sterling, CO. They had one son, James.
Janice is survived by her daughter Roxann (Lance) Kopp, son Ralph (Claudia) Miller, son James (Nichole) Roberts. Grandchildren Matthew Miller, Benjamin Brody and Avery Roberts. Twin Brother James (Lynn) Sloan, Brother Bruce (Sue) Sloan, and several nieces and nephews.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, son Stacy Miller, sister Mary, and brother John
Janice’s wishes were to be cremated. There will be a gathering of friends and family this coming summer in Velva, to remember and celebrate her
