Jacksonville Beach, FL- Janice Flynn Pitcairn passed away peacefully of natural causes on June 20, 2021, at 80 years of age. Born the youngest of nine children in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Adele Flynn. She grew up on Beechwood Blvd in Squirrel Hill.
Janice became a homemaker in O'Hara and Indiana Townships and an avid tennis and platform tennis player at the Pittsburgh Field Club. She spent and enjoyed countless hours on the courts introducing and teaching her three sons how to play. Later in life, she relocated to Jacksonville Beach FL; owning and operating "Janelle's Collection" a custom and costume jewelry business. Janice always enjoyed interacting with her customers discussing the newest and latest trends in the industry. Janice had a great sense of humor, marked by wit and sarcasm, resulting in remarks that are legendary.
Janice truly was one of a kind, who, in her own words, "loved her sons more than anything on earth." She is survived by her sons James (Julie), Craig, and Michael (Dayna) and five grandchildren Hanna, Hattie, Brice, Campbell, and Abigail. She is also survived by two sisters, Patricia Eyman of Naples FL and Carole O'Malley of Needham, MA. She will be missed by all.
