Janice Moore-Rowell leaves this world with a legacy of kindness, joy and laughter trailing behind her; flowing through all who were fortunate enough to meet her. She celebrated her 75th birthday on 2/9/21 and departed us to reunite with her true love, Buster (Edmund Rowell) on 2/13/21.
She nurtured three children: Scott Briggs, Susan Montminy and Shawn Rowell with much love, laughter and wisdom. Janice spent her free time crafting beautiful poetry. She then proceeded to chambermaid for Birch Lane, Newbury; followed by working many years for Cricentis/Hannafords, New London where she found joy in making others smile.
Janice retired to lavish her grandchildren, Logan and Corbin Montminy & Shawn Jr and Krista Rowell with her positive, loving outlook on life and endless sense of humor. She also leaves behind one aunt, many nieces, nephews and her baby sister; Ruth Homes, who would tell you their times were filled with laughter and mischief.
Janice moved to assisted living in Warner where she enjoyed planning, cooking/baking for their rec room functions.
Janice, of late LIVED at Merrimack County Nursing Home where she received yet a new lease on life. Touching the hearts of residents and staff alike with warmth of friendship. Her entertaining, quick wit always left them with a chuckle. After a short time there, she was honored with an outstanding citizenship award from her community. Janice enjoyed crafts, activities, and playing bingo (especially double bingo days-(A day she would prefer no visitors to distract her from winning).
In her downtime, she would do word puzzles, dabble in poetry and spend endless hours with her coloring projects that she generously shared with others. She became elected resident president, the "power of the gavel" made her smile.
Janice felt blessed and was always grateful.
When the world seemed out of sorts, she would advise you to remember, "no news is good news. Keep it simple. Be true to yourself, and treat others as you wish to be treated." When asked "if you could tell the world something, what would it be?" She answered, "I love you all."
Celebration of Life is tentatively set for 6/27 (Janice and Buster's anniversary) Booth- Sherman Cemetery, Newbury.
