Janice McQuiggan Obituary
Janice McQuiggan (nee Malatesta) died peacefully on Sunday, August 13, 2023 in hospice care, surrounded by her family.
Janice was born in Philadelphia, PA. She moved to The Villages, FL in 2001 with her late husband, Fredric McQuiggan, Sr. She enjoyed bible study, yoga and exercise classes, but most of all, she loved country line dancing and partner dancing.
In addition to Fred, she was predeceased by her newborn son, Thomas. Survivors include her children, Fredric Jr. (Deb), Karen Lucas (Michael), Linda Dressel (Tom), James (Tina), John (Kim); her sister, Joan Lick (John) and brothers, Edward Malatesta (Jan), James Malatesta (Lisa). Janice also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 9:30-11:00am followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00am, St. Anselm Catholic Church, 12670 Dunks Ferry Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cornerstone Hospice Foundation, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778 or mass cards would be appreciated.
