Janice Patricia Herod O'Quinn Goodnight passed away December 27, 2020, from complications of COVID 19. Lovingly called "Jano" by her family and friends, Jano was born on March 27, 1948. She graduated from Lubbock High School in 1966. She worked in the printing industry for most of her career in California and Colorado and then worked for ADT the last few years before she retired in 2013. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ola Mae Bell Herod in 1983, her father, Glen Ray Herod in 1987, her older sister Margaret Idalia Freidkin in 1996, her older brother Glenn Ray Herod in 2011, her younger sister Debby Childs in 2014, and her husband Selma Wayne Goodnight in 2017. She returned to live in her hometown of Lubbock in 2019. Janice will be cremated per her wishes and have her ashes scattered at a later date in Evergreen, Colorado. Janice was an artist and a pillar of strength for her family, and was much loved, and will be very much missed. Survivors include her younger brother Dewey Herod, and four younger sisters; Ree Stam, Mary Meyers, Martha Salazar, and Melinda Griffin.
