Janice G. Erb, 81, passed away peacefully December 1, 2023 surrounded by her beloved husband and children.
Jan was born October 4,1941 in Scobey, MT to Virgil and Francis Legare. She was raised and educated in Glasgow, MT and it is there she met Larry Erb, her true love, best friend and husband of 61 years.
After the couple wed, life took Jan and Larry from Great Falls, to Seattle and ultimately to the Boise valley. In the early 1970s they decided to make rural Middleton their forever home. It was then that Jan went to work for St. Lukes/MSTI. For 35 years she was a dedicated RN, with most of those years working along side Dr. John Lung at the Mountain States Tumor Institute. Jan touched the lives of countless people. Her warmth, kindness, and compassion created a lasting impact on her patients and their families.
Jan's greatest pride and joy was her family. She loved traveling with her husband, laughing with her sisters, sharing time with her children, and most importantly spoiling her grandchildren every chance she had.
Jan is survived by her husband, Larry Erb, sons, Kirk (Tracy) Erb, Dean Erb, daughter, Missie (Mike) Wright, her sisters, Vicki (John) Storfa, Pam (Chuck) Smith, Susan Legare, her beloved grandchildren Michael (Camille) Erb, Kameron (Sam McGraw) Erb, Kati Erb, Libby and Charlie Wright, and great grandchildren Riannen and Olivia Erb. She was a proud aunt to several nieces and nephews.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Francis Legare, her in-laws, Marlin and Ruth Erb and her brother Larry Legare.
Jan will be dearly missed but will forever live on in the hearts and memories of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
In lieu of flowers, Jan requested that donations be made to Feed My Starving Children or Doctors Without Borders.
