Janette Anita (Larrabee) LaBounty Gardner 97, of Bog Road, died Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at her home. She was born in Lebanon N.H on August 3,1923 the daughter of James and Rebecca (Macy) Larrabee .
Janette was a member of the Sacred Heart Church. Janette worked for various firms including Carters and Thermal Dynamics. She retired with Thermal Dynamics at the age of 67. Five years after her husband passed, Janette met George Miller of Lebanon NH.
In Janette's younger years she enjoyed fashion,dancing and country music. Janette was notorious for ordering a CC and ginger. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary . She cherished crafting with her daughters and her son's humorous jokes. Janette loved traveling, her favorite places included Niagara falls and the White mountains. After George passed in 2000, her children made it a routine to visit the White Mountains with her for many years.
In Janette's later years you could find her baking and watching the Lawrence Welk Show or playing her piano.
Janette was a traditionalist, her family always came first. She hosted many annual thanksgivings. She leaves behind 13 grandchildren including Kristie Wong of Canaan, NH, Tracie Savery of Enfield, NH and Shalana Muir of Croydon, NH,19 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren, all whom she Loved dearly. When you met Janette you couldn't help but love her firecracker personality. She held up to her Grandmother title times a million! She will be dearly missed by all! Janette was one hell of a lady!
Janette is predeceased by her husband Paul G Gardner and her daughter, Elizabeth Fairbanks.
She is survived by her two daughters, Theresa M Gardner Batten and her husband Keith Batten of Canaan NH. Joan Gardner Warren of Springfield NH. Her son Richard P. and his wife, Diane Gardner of Plaistow NH.
A graveside service will be held in early spring of this year at Lake View cemetery.
