Janet Louise Rupp Langley, 85, of Griffin, widow of Herbert C. Langley, died Monday, November 25, 2024, at Brightmoor Assisted Living.
Born in Decatur, IL, June 10, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Lester and Wilma Mae Hall Rupp. Mrs. Langley was retired after over twenty years of service as a teacher at Babb Junior High School in Forest Park. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Langley was a member of Eagles Landing First Baptist Church where she was active in Sunday School and many other groups throughout the church.
In addition to her husband of forty-six years, she was preceded in death by her son, Steve Langley; sisters, Beverly Bramer and Phyllis Bryson.
Survivors include her two sons, Ted Langley of Locust Grove and Stan Langley of Griffin; daughter-in-law, Deann Langley; grandchildren, Preston Langley and fianc?e, Alex Brate of Buford and Elizabeth Langley Louge and husband Zach of Savannah; close friends, Bonnie and Sonny Strohm of Newnan; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 12:00 Noon at Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro with Reverend Howard Greer officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Widows Ministry and Legacy at Eagles Landing First Baptist Church, 2400 Hwy. 42 North, McDonough, GA 30253, in memory of Mrs. Langley.
