Janet Amy (Wilshere) Klosterman, age 88 of Wheaton, IL, passed away peacefully January 12, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Carsten “Hank” Klosterman, loving mother of Donald (Kathleen) Klosterman, Gilbert AZ and Linda (Dave) Lehman, Chicago IL, proud grandmother of Courtney (Jason) Clark, Cassandra, Brian and Blake, and fond Aunt of Jeff and Scott Rolseth.
Janet was born and raised on Long Island NY, started her family in New Jersey, raised her children in Winfield IL, returned to NJ when her kids were grown and then retired to NC before moving back to Illinois to be near family. Besides raising her family, Janet also worked as a bookkeeper for: Sewanhaka High School, Floral Park NY; Ciba Pharmaceuticals, Summit NJ; and Winfield Public School, Winfield IL.
She was active in many organization and clubs: The Junior Woman’s Club and Girl Scout Leader in Winfield IL; Newcomers in Morristown NJ; International Club in Basking Ridge NJ and New Bern NC; Soloflytes and VP Ladies Golf in Fairfield Harbour NC. She enjoyed golf, bridge, dancing and traveling. She especially loved living in Bangkok Thailand for a short time. One of her favorite recent sayings was “Getting older is not for sissies!”
Memorial services will be held at a future date.
