Janet Cramer Jones passed away July 21, 2021, peacefully at her home at the age of ninety-nine. She lived most of her life in the Rio Grande Valley. She graduated from Edinburg High School and Southern Methodist University in 1943, where she belonged to Kappa Alpha Theta.
She was predeceased by her husband, H. Sam Jones, her parents, A.L. and Clara Foss Cramer, her sisters, Carolyn Cramer Kern, Phyllis Cramer Wright and Alice Lee Cramer Knapp, and her nephew, Rob Kern.
Survivors include her son S. Foss Jones and wife, Becky, granddaughter, Annie Jones; nieces, Leckie Kern Stack (Bill), Austin Kern Miller, Marsletta Knapp and Madeline Wright, and nephews, Christopher Wright (Linda), Duncan Gilpin (Rachel), Hurley Gilpin and Rett Knapp.
The family appreciates the assistance of her many dedicated caregivers.
A family ceremony will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
