Janet Anderson Hugo, 92, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. Born in Galax, VA, she had been a Peninsula resident for 72 years. Janet was a member of Temple Baptist Church and retired from the City of Newport News as an auditor/account clerk. She was a member of the Eastern Star.Survivors include her son, Larry Felts (Christine) of Yorktown; two grandsons, Colin Felts (Catherine) of Chester, VA, and Bennett Felts (Lauren) of Yorktown; three great-grandchildren, Asher, Hudson and Cate, and one great-granddaughter on the way, Cassie. Other survivors include a sister-in-law,Shirley Anderson, and nephew Mike Anderson, both of Galax, VA; and a great-nephew Brandon Hampton of King, NC. She was preceded in death by her second husband Donald Hugo; her first husband Warren Felts; and several other family members.A funeral service will be held at 10 AM, Friday, July 8, 2022 with Pastor Matthew Beagle officiating, at W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home.
