Janet Ross Gibson

Gibson, Janet R. "Jan" (Supplee) of Spring Park, MN, went home to the Lord on July 2, 2024. Born March 19, 1939, to Bert and Phyllis Supplee in Minneapolis, MN. Graduated from Wayzata High School in 1957.

She married Dick Gibson on June 22, 1959, and they raised 2 children, Michele and Rick. They lived in Minnetonka until they retired to Crosslake, where she enjoyed hosting family and friends, being by the lake and listening to the call of the loon.

Jan played a key role in supporting the family business that included various drug, variety, hardware, and lawn and garden stores in Minnetonka, Wayzata and Eden Prairie. While always at Dick's side in support of his various pursuits, Jan was a wonderful friend to many and an active participant, board member and valued contributor in various churches, organizations and community programs throughout her life.

Preceded in death by her loving daughter, Michele Clarine; husband Dick; parents, Bert and Phyllis; and sister D. (Dorie) Jean Stafne. Survived by her son, Rick (Lisa) of Orono; son-in-law, Steve Clarine of New Brighton; grandchildren: Justin, Jack and Elizabeth; great grand-daughter Jett; step grandchildren, Justin and Dallas; sister Carol Supplee; and a supporting and loving extended family.

A Celebration of Life for Jan will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, September 8, at the Lake Minnetonka Shores chapel, Spring Park, MN. Visitation thirty minutes before service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance (in honor of Michele) or donor's choice. Hubler Funeral Home (952) 472-1716.
