JANET WELLS ERRICHETTI, 89, of Stonington, CT, previously of Middlebury, CT, Block Island, RI and Boca Raton, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday night, March 5th. Jan was married to the late John A. Errichetti and leaves two sons and a daughter, Christopher Errichetti Sr. of Stonington, Rick Errichetti of Litchfield, and Joyce Errichetti of Middlebury, and a sister Susan Wells Fischer of Kawaihae, HI. She will also be missed by her daughters-in-law, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A consummate wife with a flair for entertaining luminaries and young children, Jan was also an artist. She displayed watercolors in the Spring Street Gallery on Block Island, and studied sculpture in the marble mines of Pietrasanta, Italy, showing her works in Boca Raton where she had a studio. From playing the piano to needlework to elaborate gingerbread houses to her excellent cooking, Jan always loved to make holidays special for her family and extended family. Jan graduated from UCONN with a degree in liberal arts. She taught kindergarten at St. Margaret's-McTernan school and volunteered in the dialysis lab at Waterbury Hospital. Later in life, her favorite times were on Block Island, where she would drive around town in her VW convertible with her little Maltese dog or enjoy cocktails with friends. Special thanks to the StoneRidge community in Stonington for taking good care of Jan. There will be no calling hours. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date. Jan has asked that any donations be made in her memory to the charity of your choice. To leave a message of remembrance, please visit www.CarpinoCares.com.
