Janet R. Davis Nichols passed away on June 14, 2019. She was born on
March 29, 1930 in Bucyrus, Ohio to William Stanley and Hilda Davis.
Janet attended Grant Hospital School of Nursing in Columbus, Ohio. She
began her nursing career working in the Labor and Delivery Department
until the birth of her first child. In 1970 she returned to the workforce, doing
research through IUPUI until 1986. On July 20, 1952 she married Dr.
George W. Davis and raised their children Daniel G. Davis, Scott Davis and
Kathryn Davis.
Dr. Davis and Scott Davis preceded her in death.
On December 30, 1986, Janet married Robert E. Nichols, Sr of
Bargersville, Indiana, who predeceased her in 1993.
Janet was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church in Cape Coral, Florida
where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She was a longtime member of the
SW Florida Symphony Society and a member of P.E.O. Chapter DF.
Janet is survived by her son, Dan (Kim) Davis, daughter, Kath Davis; step-
daughter, Penny (Tom) Bodkin; step-son, Bob (Melody) Nichols;
grandsons, Casey (Jill) Davis and Austin Davis; step-granddaughter, Beth
(Conrad) Rockey; step-grandsons, Bryan Bodkin, Rob and Chris Nichols;
great grandsons, Hunter Davis, Alex Dafforn, Dante and Dominic Bodkin.

A memorial service will be held at Faith Presbyterian Church on Saturday,
July 6 th at 11:00 am.
