Jane Trulock Majors, born September 13, 1922 in Paris, Texas to V.R. and Jenny Trulock. She graduated from Paris High School, Paris Junior College and the University of North Texas where she obtained her Business Degree.
After college World War II began and she moved back to Paris and worked as a Secretary at Camp Maxey, Medical Division. At the end of the war she moved back to Colorado City with her parents. There is where she met Sam L. (Buzz) Majors, who had returned from serving in Army. They married in 1947 and she worked as a teacher in public schools and also the jewelry business with her husband.
Being a very involved in the jewelry business, they opened stores in Sweetwater, Odessa, Midland and Austin.
Jane is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister, Margaret Latimer.
Jane is survived by sons, Lee Majors and wife Mary Ann of Midland, Mark Majors of Horseshoe Bay, Texas; grandchildren, Will Majors and Lindsey of Austin, Michael Majors and wife Jennifer of Austin, Marcus Majors and wife Hilary of Midland, Elizabeth Carter and husband Ben of Midland, Blake Majors of Montana; great grandchildren, Lincoln and Lucia Majors of Austin; Caven and Crawford Majors of Austin, Mary and Ellis Carter of Midland, Hoyt, Miller Ann and Gaines Majors, of Midland; nephews, John Latimer and wife Stephanie of Odessa, Dan Latimer and wife Renata of Auburn, Alabama, Don Latimer and wife Rita of Richardson, Texas; special cousins include, Johnny Trulock of Colorado City, and Joe Young and family of Weatherford.
She was a member of First Christian Church serving on the board, deacon, greeter, numerous committees. Elected deacon emeritus in 2003.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, January 18, 2021 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. She will be laid to rest next to her husband. Livestreaming of the service will be available at www.npwelch.com.
Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Majors, Marcus Majors, Will Majors, Blake Majors, John Latimer, and Ben Carter.
