Jane Ellen Pase, 58, of Midland, Texas passed away in her sleep on Thursday, July 14, 2022.
Jane Ellen was born on December 27, 1963 to Judith and Walther Marcis in Benton, Illinois.
Jane Ellen was baptized as a child of God on January 19th, 1964 at St Paul's Lutheran in West
Frankfort, Illinois. Jane Ellen reaffirmed her baptism on June 4th, 1978 at St. John Nottingham
Illinois. Jane Ellen's education from primary through college was based in Lutheran faith. Jane
Ellen graduated from Concordia College, River Forest, Illinois in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts in
Education. Jane Ellen began her teaching career at Redeemer Lutheran School in San Antonio,
Texas. Jane Ellen Pase was an accomplished educator and published author, dedicating her life
to sharing her faith with children.
Jane Ellen married Robert Pase on July 8th, 1989 in Cleveland, Ohio. To this union, the Lord
blessed them with two sons, Ryan Joseph Marcis Pase and Jacob Walther Pase.
Jane Ellen was a devout follower of Christ. Her passions included serving Christ alongside her
husband at every church he pastored. Her strongest passion was the Grace Lutheran Early
Childhood Program, where she faithfully served for 22 years.
She is survived by her parents; her husband; her son RJ and his wife Kinsey, and grandson
Mason; her son Jacob and his wife Sheba. She is survived by her sisters Sharon Tieman and
her husband Larry, Susan Dill and her husband Manfred, and Joy Szabo. She is also survived
by her five nephews and three nieces.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Grace
Lutheran Church Midland, Texas Fellowship Hall. A celebration of her Life in Jesus will be held
on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 10:00AM at Grace Lutheran Church Midland with Pastor David
Rohde.
In the sure and certain hope of the Resurrection, her cremains will be laid to rest in the Grace
Lutheran Lamesa, Texas Cemetery located in Sparenberg, Texas on Saturday, July 23rd, 2022
at 10:00AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be donated to the Grace Lutheran Church Debt
Retirement Fund or the Grace Lutheran Early Childhood Program Scholarship Fund.
