Jamie Karl Amon of Quinlan, Texas passed away November 10, 2022 at the age of 47. He was born on May 9, 1975, to Lyle Curtis Amon and Betty Margaret (Green) Amon in Fargo, North Dakota. Jamie grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado and spent his summers at the family farm near Upham, North Dakota. He was a 1993 graduate of Wasson High School in Colorado Springs. Jamie served his country proudly as a mechanic in the United States Army from 1993 - 2005. He grew his career in mechanics and maintenance at US Steel and Trinity Industries and for the most recent eight years worked as a Maintenance Coordinator for Amazon.
Jamie enjoyed fishing and was a true "tinkerer" - working on various projects at a time, with a particular fondness for endeavors in the outdoors. He was a loving son, spouse, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Those who knew him best agree that he possessed a tremendously generous spirit. Jamie was always willing to lend a hand, provide advice or feedback, repair a broken something or other, or drive a loved one. During his life, he took pleasure in filling his life with those upon whom he could bestow this generosity.
Jamie is survived by his children, Dennis Amon of Austin, Texas and Melissa Amon of Fairview, Texas; grandchildren, Marley Amon, Aspen Gibbs, and Hudson Gibbs; parents, Betty and Lyle Amon of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sister, Terri Fujinaga and husband, Keith of Kirkland, Washington and Tammi Amon of Del Rey Oaks, California; nephew and niece, Ben Fujinaga and Grace Fujinaga; girlfriend, Sherry Demarco and her family of Quinlan, Texas; and a host of other loving family and friends.
