James Everett Wilhite

James Everett Wilhite, 76, of Sagerton, Texas, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023 in Abilene. Visitation was held Friday, September 8, 2023 from 4-6 p.m. in the Kinney-Underwood Funeral Home. Service was held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 9, 2023 at St. John's Methodist Church with burial following in the Highland Cemetery, Stamford.

Known as Paw-Paw to his granddaughters, James was born to L. E. and Jimmie Vickers Wilhite, on October 14, 1946, in Jones County, Texas. He grew up and attended school in Lueders, Texas, and spent his life in West Texas working, ranching, farming, hunting, and enjoying time with his family. James was a friend to many and always had a story to tell. He will be greatly missed.

James was preceded in death by his parents and brother Victor "Vick" Wilhite.

James is survived by his wife of 50 years Vickie Teichelman Wilhite, son Cody Wilhite and his wife Amy, son Kyle Wilhite and his wife Shannon, brother Albert Wilhite, and five granddaughters Kaylee, Hannah, Megan, Addison, and Emma.
