James E. Wear was welcomed into the presence of the Lord on January 17, 2021 after a lengthy battle with Coronavirus. James (Jimmy) was born on July 24, 1945 in Charleston, SC and was a current resident of Hilton Head, SC. He was the son of the late Eunice and Benjamin Wear.
Jimmy (affectionately known as Big Daddy to his beloved family) is survived by his beautiful wife of fifty- five years, Jackie, two sons, Jimbo (Sherri) and Kevin (Amy) grandsons, Hunter and Logan Wear and sister Jean (James) Fleming and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Jimmy was preceded in death by his sister Jerri Moody and brother Ben Wear.
Jimmy had a lengthy career in law enforcement before starting a career in real estate in 1989. Jimmy had many successes but none more important than leaving a lasting legacy of love and friendship for his family and many friends. Jimmy loved large family gatherings, football season (Cowboys) and grilling by the fire for all in attendance. He also loved woodworking, boating and was a master fisherman. A will lived life indeed for James E. Wear.
